Wing on Wing Across the Gulf StreamCat Cay & Nassau, Bahamas

KEY LARGO, CAT CAY & NASSAU, BAHAMAS
End of June 2007

190 Miles of Fast, Smooth Sailing
After a beautiful 72 mile sail from Key Largo, we approached Cat Cay barely ahead of a huge storm system.  With reports of gale force winds and heavy seas, we made the decision to stay at the Cat Cay Yacht Club for the night.

With favorable winds and under a full moon, we sailed across the Great Bahama Bank, through the NW Channel Passage and a across Tongue of the Ocean into Nassau.

Climbing the rig without a boson's chair.
It's similar to climbing a coconut tree.

We scared up a few friendly creatures in Nassau Harbour, under the dock...
