February 2006 - June 2007

Here's a splash of reality for those who think our lives are just a series of beautiful sunsets and white sand beaches.

Key Largo Fisheries - My Favorite Marina in Key Largo
Despite the rough-around-the-edges appearance, questionable electrical system, and the inconvenience of living in a commercial fish yard - I thoroughly enjoyed keeping Blue Runner along their docks.  We were given many great meals of fresh mahi-mahi (dorado/dolphin), yellow-tail snapper, lobster, and sushi-grade tuna right off the boats.  The work yard was a perfect place to scavenge for spare wood and we were able to complete many major projects.

Our first two attempts to leave were marred with engine problems and tropical weather systems.  Three weeks and thousands of dollars later our little Perkins is running better than ever.
