Provo, Turks & Caicos August 2007 - October 2007 We found Provo to be a combination of modern expansion and wind blown, rugged, terrain. To this point, Provo has put the cart before the horse. They have big dreams of major developments and large, upscale marinas - but much of it is still only on paper, and has been for the past 7 years. The cruising guides to the area listed 6 marinas, when in reality, only 2 are operational. We were thrilled to find many American conveniences, especially since we came from almost 2 months in the out islands. The Do It Center, Ace Hardware, Napa Auto Parts, 3 large grocery stores, pizza places, sushi restaurants, and a marine store made getting supplies simple so far.
